Pepperdine Women's Basketball

Pepperdine Women's Basketball team is a D1 team that competes against some of the top schools in the West Coast. I was originally brought on to design a few one-off flyers, but it quickly became clear the team needed more than just a layout. They needed a style refresh! To elevate their visual identity and create a consistent look and feel that matched their level of play, I kept Pepperdine's collegiate bold navy and orange at the core but lightened the overall feel. After a few rounds, I also brought in overall a cleaner, edgier design, more negative space, and subtle nods to Malibu to give the brand a sense of place. We're calling this direction, "light, feminine, and with an edge".
